Rep. Peters Speaks on the House Floor in Support of His Bill H.R. 724

U.S. Representative and Congressional Auto-Caucus Co-Chair Gary Peters (MI-14) spoke on the House Floor in support of a bill he wrote with Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH) to eliminate redundancies and red tape for auto dealers and consumers. The Peters-Latta initiative eliminates an outdated provision of The Clean Air Act that requires auto dealers to provide consumers with a certificate confirming a vehicle's compliance with The Clean Air Act, even though all cars and trucks sold in the U.S. must comply with The Clean Air Act when they leave the factory.
