The U.S. House of Representatives today approved a measure sponsored by Congressman Gary Peters to support small businesses in high unemployment states. Peters legislation would expand zero interest loans for existing small businesses in high unemployment states and expand access to grants and a business investment tax credit designed for low-income areas to high unemployment areas as well. Rep. Peters measure passed as an amendment to H.R. 3854, the Small Business and Investment Act of 2009.
