Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Advances Nominees & Postal Naming Legislation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Gary Peters (D-MI) and Rob Portman (R-OH), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, announced the Committee advanced two nominees and one postal naming bill during a business meeting on Wednesday. The nominees and postal naming bill were reported favorably by voice vote, unless otherwise noted.

Nominations:

  1. Robert H. Shriver III to be Deputy Director, Office of Personnel Management (roll call vote: 9-2); and
  2. Richard L. Revesz to be Administrator, Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget (roll call vote: 9-2).

Postal Naming Bill:

  1. H.R. 3175, to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 135 Main Street in Biloxi, Mississippi, as the “Robert S. McKeithen Post Office Building.”
