Peters Statement on Trump Administration Filing Brief Asking Supreme Court to Invalidate Health Care Law

DETROIT, MIU.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) today released the following statement after the Trump Administration late Thursday night filed a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court, in its latest move to end the health care law:

“As we battle the Coronavirus and continue to face an unprecedented health and economic crisis, the Trump Administration is dangerously pushing for the Supreme Court to invalidate the health care law, end protections for people with pre-existing medical conditions and raise health care and prescription drug costs. The Administration’s actions speak for themselves: this is the latest in an unrelenting, deliberate effort that will harm Michigan families and threaten their access to quality, affordable health care. I will continue fighting relentlessly against this effort and remain steadfast in my commitment to improving access to care and lowering health care costs.”
