Peters Statement on Federal Appeals Court Ruling Regarding Health Care Law
Peters Opposes Trump Administration’s Efforts to Undo Health Care Law, Raise Health Care Costs and Eliminate Protections for Millions of Michiganders with Preexisting Health Conditions
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) today released the following statement on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in Texas v. United States regarding the health care law, which sent the case back to the U.S. District Court level:
“Let’s be clear: the Trump Administration is determined to overturn the health care law and end protections for millions of Michiganders with preexisting health conditions, raise health care costs and return us to the days when insurance companies could impose annual and lifetime limits on coverage. I’m going to continue fighting to ensure Michiganders have access to affordable, accessible care and work to lower health care and prescription drug costs for families.”
