Peters Statement on Deadly Terrorist Attack in Kabul

DETROIT, MI – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI), who serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement regarding the deadly terrorist attack in Kabul:

“As I continue to closely monitor developments in Afghanistan, I am mourning the loss of brave U.S. servicemembers and innocent civilians as a result of the horrifying terrorist attack in Kabul. I’m praying for the recovery of our servicemembers and Afghan allies who were injured. 

“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the courageous, heroic U.S. servicemembers, diplomats, personnel, and allies who continue to carry out their mission in the face of enormous danger.”
