Peters-Stabenow: Senate Begins Consideration of Water Resources Development Act that Includes Assistance for Flint

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senators Gary Peters (D-MI) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) released the following statement after the Senate began consideration of the Water Resources Development Act, which includes their bipartisan Flint agreement:

"We are pleased that after months of working with Republicans and Democrats, our bipartisan agreement to help Flint and other communities is now before the Senate as part of the Water Resources Development Act. We want to thank Chairman Inhofe and Ranking Member Boxer for working with us to include help for Flint in their legislation, which passed committee earlier this year. In the coming days, we will continue our effort in the Senate to finally pass this urgently-needed help for Flint families.”
