Peters Commemorates Veterans Day

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI), a former Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today released a video in advance of Veterans Day.

“From World War II to modern day conflicts across the globe, generations of Michiganders have answered America’s call to service,” said Senator Peters, a former Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. “On Veterans Day, we honor the remarkable dedication of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and all our servicemembers, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms. While we can never fully repay the enormous debt we owe all of our veterans and their families, we must continue working to ensure that they can access the benefits, health care and support they have earned.”

“From World War II to modern day conflicts across the globe, generations of Michiganders have answered America’s call to service. And on Veterans Day, we honor the remarkable dedication of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and all our servicemembers, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.

“While we can never fully repay the enormous debt we owe all of our veterans and their families, we must continue working to ensure that they can access the benefits, health care and support that they have earned. Our brave servicemen and women deserve nothing less than our full support, and I encourage everyone to take time to honor and thank the veterans in your community and across our country.”
