Peters Bipartisan Resolution to Designate June 2023 “Great Outdoors Month” Passes U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Gary Peters (MI) and Steve Daines’ (MT) bipartisan resolution designating June 2023 as “Great Outdoors Month” passed the U.S. Senate.

“Whether you’re traveling to watch the sun set over Lake Michigan or hike around Isle Royale, people visit from around the world to experience Michigan’s remarkable landscapes and precious natural resources,” said Senator Peters. "I’m pleased we designated June as Great Outdoors Month to highlight the importance of preserving natural treasures like those we have in Michigan and across the country for future generations to enjoy.”
