Peters Statement on the First Anniversary of the Shooting at Michigan State University
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting at Michigan State University on February 13th, 2023 that left three students dead and five others injured:
“As a fellow Spartan, my heart is with the families and loved ones of Arielle, Brian, and Alexandria, and the entire Spartan community as we mark one year since the horrific shooting at Michigan State University. Colleen and I are also thinking of the students, staff, alumni, and residents of East Lansing who were impacted and who are still healing from this tragic event. We must put an end to the epidemic of gun violence in our country to prevent more senseless tragedies from shattering our communities.”
