U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) toured STELLAR Broadband in East Lansing today to highlight how the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will advance high-speed internet deployment and expand partnerships. Peters discussed how the bipartisan infrastructure law he helped pass will provide Michigan with a minimum of $100 million to help provide high-speed broadband coverage across the state, including access to the at least 398,000 Michiganders who currently lack it. Peters also supported the passage of the American Recue Plan, which included $10 billion for the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund to help cities and counties fund critical capital projects like broadband access.
