MICHIGAN- U.S. Debbie Stabenow (MI) and Gary Peters (MI) announced Friday that the Department of Transportation (DOT) will be awarding Bishop International Airport $2,307,210 to repair cargo apron pavement.
Officials say these funds are from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program.
“Having reliable and safe air cargo service is crucial for economic development and commerce,” said Senator Stabenow. “This funding is another critical infrastructure investment that will help Bishop International Airport continue to transport important goods.”
“Michigan airports play a critical role in keeping communities and businesses connected to important markets and destinations,” said Senator Peters. “This federal support will help ensure Bishop International Airport can continue transporting travelers safely and efficiently for years to come by making necessary upgrades to critical infrastructure.”
