WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO AM/FM) — U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) announced on Monday, August 22, that he will be launching his annual motorcycle tour across Michigan starting next week.
The Senator will be making stops in Muskegon, Traverse City, Munising, Hemlock and the Lansing area.
He will start in Muskegon on Monday, August 29, and conclude on Wednesday, August 31, in the Lansing area.
During the tour, Peters will ride with veterans, motorcycle safety advocates, workers and constituents.
Peters, who founded the bipartisan Senate Motorcycle Caucus, will ride approximately 1,000 miles across the state.
“There’s nothing better than riding my motorcycle across Michigan to meet with folks. Working together, we’ve been able to make meaningful progress for Michiganders,” said Peters. “I’m looking forward to traveling across the state to talk about how we’re strengthening our economy, expanding care for our veterans, protecting our Great Lakes, helping communities access resources to build more resilient infrastructure that can withstand erosion and extreme weather and bolstering our cybersecurity.”
